With the annual Afrikaans is Groot music festival now just around the corner, excitement is fast mounting among fans of Afrikaans music and culture throughout South Africa. This year the ever-popular event, which is being hosted at the new Time Square Sun Arena at Menlyn Maine in Pretoria East for the first time, promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Pam Golding Properties, which has been part of the Menlyn Maine development from the outset, and is marketing The Trilogy Collection, says that it will have a strong presence at the Afrikaans is Groot festival to assist visitors who may wish to explore the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of investing in this exciting new development.
“The cosmopolitan Menlyn Maine urban precinct is where it is all happening and visitors to the event who are looking for a superb apartment as a primary residence or as an investment property in an area where a massive buzz has been created, should make a point of visiting our onsite sales office at the entrance to the Square. Our colleagues are also available at the Pam Golding Properties Pretoria office in the Menlyn Maine shopping centre to assist anyone requiring further information,” says Retha Schutte, Pam Golding Properties Pretoria regional head.
Afrikaans is Groot, which is in its sixth year and will be held between 24-25 November and 1-2 December 2017, announced earlier this year that it would be moving the event to the Time Square Sun Arena at Menlyn Maine as it can host 8 500 people and is now the largest and most superbly equipped in-door venue in the country.
The organisers of the event say that they have an incomparable line-up of performers for the 2017 festival including Juanita du Plessis, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Theuns Jordaan, Laurika Rauch, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Lianie May, Karlien van Jaarsveld, and many other well-known artists.
“We were delighted with this news as we are perfectly situated within a retail and entertainment mecca, and therefore fully expect to attract many more large substantial events such as the Afrikaans is Groot festival in the future,” notes Schutte.
“As each new stage of Menlyn Maine, Africa’s first purpose built mixed-use green mini city, has come on stream, it has generated more-and-more excitement, and the development has quickly become the business, and retail address of choice. It is also fast gaining ground as one of Gauteng’s most upmarket, new shopping, entertainment and sporting event hubs.”
“The same is true of the visionary residential component, where some 80% of the units in Phase 1 of The Trilogy Collection have already been snapped up off-plan. With soil now broken, the three state-of-the-art, multiple-storey residential towers are set for completion by the end of 2019.”
“The Trilogy Collection is being developed in two phases and will eventually consist of 547 apartments. After experiencing brisk sales of units in the Premium and Luxury collections, we are expecting the remaining units in Phase 1 to be purchased by buyers eager to participate in what is an exclusive investment opportunity that is sure to show sound capital appreciation over time,” explains Schutte.
According to Schutte, the development of The Trilogy Collection will mark the final stage of construction of the impressive 300 000sqm mini city.
“Now is the ideal time for investors to gain a foothold in the residential component of the precinct. The Trilogy Collection offers a range of properties from highly affordable studio apartments, for which no transfer fees are required, to high-end penthouses. An apartment can be secured with a reservation fee of just R50 000. Units are selling from between R1.2m to R12m for one of the luxury penthouse apartments,” she suggests.
“The apartments have been popular with buyers in large part because residents will have access to an entirely novel street and urban café lifestyle, which will be both attractive and offer them the highest levels of convenience and security.”
“Those attending Afrikaans is Groot festival who are interested in finding out more about The Trilogy Collection are invited to visit the Pam Golding Properties office at Menlyn Maine and to take advantage of the investment opportunities that are still available,” concludes Schutte.
