There is a saying that goes: anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great. This certainly rings true when you consider legendary cook, filmmaker, urban farmer and entrepreneur Justin Bonello’s journey with food.
For many who have watched him on TV, or attempted recipes from his cook books, the upcoming Cooked with Justin Bonello is an experience not to be missed.
Food lovers are invited to indulge in a unique experience as Justin demonstrates his love for food and shares his passion for cooking.
The event takes place on Thursday, 22 February 2018 at 6pm for 6:30pm in the relaxed setting of the Jonkershuis Restaurant Courtyard nestled in the Groot Constantia Estate.
The cost is R950 and includes arrival drinks, a Harvest style meal, wine and the opportunity to mingle with Justin.
The event is being hosted by The Sunflower Fund thanks to the generous sponsorship of Justin Bonello, Sanlam, Jonkershuis and Groot Constantia Wine Estate.
“I once heard a saying that a recipe has no soul, you as the cook must bring soul to the recipe and that is my philosophy about food,” says Justin. “I gather experiences on my travels and adventures and bring it all together in creating dishes that tell their own story,” he continued.
As a filmmaker, Justin is no stranger to telling stories or showcasing food. This event is sure to be a treat that will infuse you with a sense of adventure and a deeper appreciation for good food.
