The Republican Democrats registered with the IEC as a political party in South Africa

The Republican Democrats has been formally registered with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) as a political party on the 06th November 2013.

The Republican Democrats is a libertarian socialist organization whose political alignment is leftist. We stand for the advancement of freedom aspirations of all South Africans irrespective of their colour, creed and gender. In as far as policy is concerned, the Republican Democrats will advocate for real positive change in the following; Housing, Land, Education, Health-care, Criminal Justice System, Agriculture and the Economy. Republican Democrats intends contesting 2014 national elections. Membership of this organization is open to all South Africans from the age of 18 years. The President of the RD is Mosotho Motau; Deputy President – Thabo Maja; General Secretary – Adelaide Ramela; Enos Lebese – Deputy Secretary; James Lebelo – Treasurer and Fridah Malaka – Deputy Treasurer
