Johannesburg – We Quote launched their brand new Snapcart™ app on 18 November 2015, a revolutionary and innovative app devoted to connecting customers with transport and courier services in a snap. Snapcart™ is owned and operated by We Quote (Pty) Ltd, a member of the Microsoft BizSpark™ programme.
Snapcart™ is created to have both a mobile application and website (www.snapcart.ninja), which interfaces with a database matching transporters with available loads, and connecting customers with transporters. This user-friendly app allows customers, individuals and companies, to request a delivery quote by submitting the details of the parcel or load they wish to send. And snap! They will receive quote notifications from Snapcart’s™ pre-approved couriers or transporters. Sounds too easy? Just wait it gets even better, all the customer has to do now is select the quote he or she wishes to accept and process the payment straight from the safe and secure payments page, which uses the latest encryption standards. Once the parcel or load has been paid and proof of delivery has been uploaded by the courier or transporter the entire transaction is concluded by rating the courier or transporter’s service, as it provides valuable information to ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained.
The transport industry has been lacking innovation for many years, yearning for the streamlining of general business processes by making use of technology and being more mobile. There has never been a better time to revolutionise the transport/courier industry than now, especially when it comes to cutting down on transportation costs, reducing CO2 emissions and improving end-to-end supply chain visibility. Snapcart™ acts as an optimisation platform to achieve those ideals.
The Snapcart™ app aligns itself to We Quote’s mission, which is to be the first company to provide a mobile platform connecting customers with service providers in the logistics industry. It also streamlines the flow of transactions between customers and service providers by providing relevant information to both the customer and service provider. Through the Snapcart™ app, We Quote ensures that the service rendered by service providers is reliable, and that costs are competitive, all while making sure the needs of customers are met. This is achieved by the rating system used at the end of transactions.
The Snapcart™ app is available for free download on Android devices for individual customers and companies as well as service providers such as courier and transport companies. The iOS and Microsoft Windows versions will be available later this year and in early 2016, respectively. The Snapcart™ app utilizes Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
This is not where it stops for We Quote, future developments to an add-on service has already been envisioned with patents and trademark applications pending.
