Sunday 20 January sees Jimmy Dludlu take the stage at Kirstenbosch for a lazy afternoon of superb jazz this is the place to be. Dludlu has come a long way from that moment when at the age of 13 he first picked up a handmade guitar. He taught himself to play and went on to become a global jazz icon. Jimmy Dludlu continues to compose and make the kind of jazz music that stirs the soul – clearly influenced by various cultures around the continent and his interaction with other musicians on the world stage. His latest album, TONOTO, introduces new facets of Jimmy and opens you up to feeling the world in a whole new way.
The Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts take place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (RhodesDrive , Newlands, Cape Town) on Sundays from 17h30 – 19h00.
