Straws play an integral role for portion packages that must be consumed on-the-go but they are also a part of the plastics waste problem. Tetra Pak has been working to encourage consumers to push straws back in the pack once they have consumed the contents so they can be collected along with the rest of the package. A desire to support a worthy cause and a passion for cycling are behind Optimum Financial Services' commitment to the Bestmed Cycle4Cansa Championship at Sun City later this year. Cycle4Cansa, which focuses on raising funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa, takes place on August 25 and 26 and incorporates road races and mountain-bike events.
