Gervonta “Tank” Davis has once again found himself in legal trouble, just two weeks before his exhibition fight with MVP’s Jake Paul on 14 November 2025.
A new civil lawsuit filed in Miami-Dade County has put the WBA lightweight champion in hot water over another alleged domestic incident. According to the lawsuit, Davis is accused by ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
This lawsuit comes two months after Davis’ previous domestic violence case was dropped by a different ex-girlfriend and the mother of two of the boxer’s three children.
With reference to the above Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) issued this statement:
Most Valuable Promotions immediately initiated an investigation upomn ;learning of the civil lawsuit filed against Gervonta Davis in Miami-Dade County om 30 October 2025.
At this time, we are gathering information and reviewing the details to ensure any decision we make is thoroughly vetted. We unequivocally condemn any form of violence and are committed to handling this matter with diligence and respect for all involved.
We will make a determination on next steps once we have completed our review and consulted wit hte appropriate parties. Until then, we will not be commenting further.
