Six crates with art from South Africa are flying to Europe.
Months and months of planning, lists, artists’ meetings, admin, measurements, artwork portfolios – all this has been part of the process which we call ‘PACKING and READY FOR LOGISTICS’.
Last Friday was the big day and our logistics partner on the South African side, Bidvest International Logistics picked up the crates in the warehouse where we packed the art.
With the world not being what it used to be, we have all been facing changes, challenges and efforts to reach the goals we put out. As we want to reach them, we want to give a big Thank you to the whole team of Bidvest, who assists us with preferential rates and all logistic matters on the African side.
On the other side of the world, in Germany, DSV Global Transport and Logistics is our partner who does all the import formalities in collaboration with us. They are the ones we work with when it comes to the trucks in Europe, sending huge crates as well as our exhibition equipment from city to city. We could not be more thankful for their ongoing support and assistance and for us: you are all ROCKSTARS!
The Travelling Art Gallery and The Emerging Artists Development Trust are an important income source for artists and their families. The success of both entities goes back to really good art and the people who love and buy art. The exhibitions held in the last four years were so well received that we are determined to grow stronger and bigger.
We feel privileged and therefore will continue together with the artists to show what South Africa is all about through ART!
With this commitment filled with lots of passion, we want to say Thank you to all of you who read this newsflash, whereever you are; we could not do what we do without you.
While I was writing and Florian busy designing this newsflash, we received the notification that the crates with the art arrived this morning in Frankfurt! We are thrilled and Flo is flying today.
And another excitement to share: please block and book some time for HAMBURG, where we will do our first pop-up in 2022 from 13 – 22 May.
Expect the most spectacular art exhibition with strong, big, colourful art from 8 female artists! It has been a dream of mine for a couple of years and now we are finally curating the show ‘SHE’.
