The new store located at the Karoo Junction Mall in Beaufort West joins MetroFibre\u2019s growing network of community-based Experience Stores in KwaThema, Steeldale, Thembisa and Riverside View in Gauteng, and New Brighton and Zwide in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFast, reliable internet should be available to everyone,\u201d says Lebang Mosimanegape, Business Owner: Emerging Markets at MetroFibre. \u201cA fundamental driver behind MetroFibre\u2019s Experience stores is to support and drive economic growth and digital inclusion in underserved towns and communities across South Africa. Reliable, affordable internet connectivity is not a luxury \u2013 it is essential for education, job seeking, doing business, accessing information, service delivery and staying connected in today\u2019s world. For communities that have historically been underserved, infrastructure like this helps to open the door to greater inclusion, opportunity and local economic participation. We welcome MetroFibre\u2019s investment in Beaufort West and the positive impact it can have in helping our residents, entrepreneurs and young people participate more fully in the digital economy,\u201d said Executive Mayor Georgina Duimpies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Empowering Communities Through Connectivity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MetroFibre\u2019s expansion into underserved areas is already transforming communities. Across its seven Experience Store locations, the network now passes more than 90 000 homes, with 24.8% already connected \u2013 proof of the growing appetite for affordable, high-speed fibre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At the MetroFibre Experience Store, residents and businesses can:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Test Wi-Fi speeds and explore service packages<\/li>\n<li>Get technical support and customer assistance<\/li>\n<li>Access free Wi-Fi during power and network outages<\/li>\n<li>Request statements and pay the monthly month-to-month bill at the store and get back online immediately<\/li>\n<li>Recharge prepaid accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MetroFibre offers flexible options to suit different budgets and needs, from month-to-month fibre-to-the-home plans to the MetroConnect prepaid solution, a pay-as-you-go 20\/40\/60 Mbps service with no contracts or long-term commitments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamilies are seeing the savings and reliability that fibre offers,\u201d explains Lebang. \u201cIt\u2019s fast, uncapped, and supports multiple users and devices \u2013 for school, work, streaming, and staying in touch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Creating Local Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>True to its community-first approach, MetroFibre recruits Experience store employees from the local area, creating valuable job opportunities while ensuring customers receive service from people who understand their specific needs and challenges.
