Newark, March, 2026 – Versitron, a leading global provider of industrial networking solutions, today announced the launch of its 10 Gigabit Media Converter (SKU: M7280), designed to meet the high-speed connectivity demands of telecommunications providers and advanced security & surveillance systems. Backed by Versitron’s long-standing legacy of “Safeguarding Communications Since 1958,” this high-performance media converter enables seamless integration between copper and fiber networks while delivering ultra-fast, reliable data transmission.

As modern telecommunications and surveillance infrastructures continue to expand, the need for high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity has become critical. Versitron’s 10 Gigabit Media Converter addresses this challenge by providing a powerful and efficient solution to bridge Ethernet and fiber networks, ensuring uninterrupted communication across long distances and complex network environments.

High-Speed 10 Gigabit Performance for Data-Intensive Networks

At the core of the Versitron M7280 is its ability to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds, enabling rapid data transfer for bandwidth-intensive applications. This makes it particularly suitable for telecommunications backbones and high-resolution surveillance systems that require real-time data processing and minimal latency.

With its high-throughput capabilities, the converter ensures smooth transmission of large data volumes, including HD and 4K video streams, critical communication signals, and enterprise-level data traffic.

Flexible SFP+ Fiber Connectivity for Long-Distance Transmission

The media converter features 1 SFP+ fiber port, offering flexibility to support both single mode and multimode fiber modules. This allows network designers to extend connectivity across short and long distances based on specific deployment needs.

For telecommunications providers, this enables efficient long-haul data transmission, while for surveillance applications, it ensures reliable connectivity between remote monitoring sites and centralized control centers. The SFP+ interface also supports hot-swappable modules, allowing easy upgrades and maintenance without network disruption.

Seamless Copper-to-Fiber Integration

Equipped with 1 RJ45 Ethernet port, the Versitron M7280 provides seamless integration between traditional copper-based Ethernet devices and modern fiber optic infrastructure. This simplifies network upgrades by allowing existing equipment to connect to high-speed fiber networks without requiring complete system overhauls.

This capability is particularly valuable in surveillance deployments, where legacy systems must be integrated with newer, high-speed fiber backbones for improved performance and scalability.

Optimized for Telecommunications and Surveillance Networks

The Versitron 10 Gigabit Media Converter is engineered to meet the performance and reliability requirements of telecommunications and security applications. It ensures stable and continuous data transmission, which is essential for maintaining communication networks and real-time video monitoring systems.

Its ability to handle high data loads with minimal latency makes it ideal for mission-critical operations where network downtime or delays are not acceptable.

Industrial-Grade Reliability and Consistent Performance

Built with durability in mind, the M7280 offers reliable operation in demanding environments. Its robust design ensures consistent performance in conditions where network stability is crucial, such as telecom facilities, surveillance control rooms, and outdoor installations.

This reliability reduces maintenance requirements and enhances overall network uptime, making it a dependable choice for long-term deployments.

Simple Deployment and Integration for Network Professionals

Versitron has designed the M7280 media converter for ease of deployment and integration. Its compact form factor and plug-and-play functionality allow system integrators and network engineers to quickly deploy the device without complex configurations.
