The result represents a 150% increase year-on-year and follows the brand\u2019s March performance, when global monthly sales exceeded 60,000 units.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>April also marked a major milestone for the brand, with OMODA &amp; JAECOO\u2019s cumulative global sales officially exceeding one million units. This makes Brand OJ the fastest automotive marque globally to reach this milestone figure within three years.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>New energy vehicles continued to contribute strongly to the brand\u2019s international performance, with 31,643 units sold globally in April, up 113% year-on-year. The April result was supported by strong demand for the brand\u2019s core model lines. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaecoo.co.za\/\"><span>JAECOO<\/span><\/a><span> J5 recorded 25,015 global sales during the month, while the OMODA C5 followed with 21,518 units. The JAECOO J7 added a future 17,693 sales.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In South Africa, OMODA &amp; JAECOO\u2019s electrified line-up is gaining traction as more hybrid models are introduced to the market. Year-to-date sales for the brand\u2019s electrified SHS models stand at 148 units for the C7 PHEV, 143 units for the OMODA C5 hybrid, 128 units for the J7 PHEV, and 108 units for the C9 PHEV. The C5 hybrid\u2019s performance is notable, as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickpic.co.za\/news\/release\/b59fc3c8-2a22-40d0-b3af-1ba3e569015a\/e1c2a047-1182-43da-b8a9-1c185d5977e0\"><span>the newcomer was launched just last month<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOMODA &amp; JAECOO\u2019s global momentum is encouraging, but what matters most for us is that the products are resonating with South African customers,\u201d said <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/shannongahagan\/\"><span>Shannon Gahagan<\/span><\/a><span>, National Brand and Marketing Manager for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icaursa.co.za\/\"><span>iCAUR South Africa<\/span><\/a><span> and OMODA &amp; JAECOO South Africa.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe growing interest in our hybrid and plug-in hybrid models shows that local buyers are looking for vehicles that offer strong value and efficiency, without compromising on design, performance, comfort, or safety. With the C5 hybrid now available and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickpic.co.za\/news\/release\/e433aa41-3561-46b6-a378-b05bb09ebbb9\/4389cd7f-01c8-4a24-a58f-d27433cf64cb\"><span>the JAECOO J5 hybrid due imminently<\/span><\/a><span>, we are well-positioned to offer customers even more choice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The JAECOO J5 Hybrid is scheduled to join the South African line-up in the coming months, becoming OMODA &amp; JAECOO\u2019s fifth electrified model locally.
