For the duration of the campaign, the band will temporarily become 330ml.

The collab draws on a connection that feels natural. Windhoek has long championed authenticity through its 100% Real Beer for real people positioning, while 340ml has earned a lasting place in South African music through an original sound shaped by the shared history and chemistry of its four members.

More than a temporary name change, the partnership coincides with an important new chapter for the band as its members recently came together again to return to performing gigs.

“Windhoek and 340ml share a belief in keeping things real,” says Keval Ramraj, Marketing Manager at Windhoek Beer South Africa. “The return of our 330ml Lager bottle coincided with the return of four musicians whose music has always felt honest and unmistakably their own. That gave us the opportunity to create a collaboration grounded in a genuine cultural connection.”

The partnership will launch Windhoek Beer’s new Midweek Sessions, a series of intimate live-music experiences encouraging South Africans to make time for music, conversation and connection during the week – not only over the weekend.

The first of Windhoek Beer’s Midweek Sessions will take place on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, at Katy’s Palace Bar in Kramerville, where 330ml will take to the stage for an evening of live music and connection.

For fans, the first midweek beer session will feature a live performance by 340ml, offering another opportunity to experience the distinctive sound that has made them one of South Africa’s most original and enduring bands. The performance builds on their return to the stage this year, celebrating the friendship, creative chemistry and shared musical history that continue to define their music.

“Becoming 330ml for a while felt like a natural fit for this collaboration,” says Tiago Correia-Paulo, 340ml guitarist. “Windhoek is bringing back a Lager format that people know and have missed, while we are building on the energy of performing together again. It gives us a fresh way to connect with audiences through music and bring two authentic stories together.”

The return of Windhoek Lager in the 330ml bottle follows consumer demand for the familiar format. It offers beer lovers another way to enjoy Windhoek’s uncompromising quality, in a size suited to relaxed social occasions and everyday moments of connection.

While the band’s name may be changing temporarily, everything people value about 340ml remains: the same four musicians, the same creative chemistry and the same commitment to making music that feels entirely their own.

To stand a chance of winning tickets to the midweek beer sessions, consumers are invited to share their own content showing what a midweek beer means to them by posting their videos and images and tagging @WindhoekBeerSA.

Windhoek 330ml is back permanently. And for a limited time, 340ml is becoming 330ml.

See more at:
@WindhoekBeerSA
#WindhoekBeerSA

CLICK HERE to submit your press release to MyPR.co.za.

Author: Noluthando Zuma from Magna Carta on behalf of Windhoek.

Track Your Press Release HERE:

Check Online Visibility

Verify where this release is currently indexed:

Pages: Page 1 Page 2

CLICK HERE to Read the Original Press Release on MyPR

Windhoek Lager and 340ml bring real music to the middle of the week The band becomes 330ml for a limited-edition collaboration celebrating the return of Windhoek Lager’s 330ml bottle and the joy of midweek connection SA favourites 340ml are returning to the stage with a new name – at least for a little while.
