His departure concludes his tenure as Vice-President, PRISMS Committee Chair, Membership Committee Chair, and his three-year term as Chief Judge of the PRISMS Awards.

In a message to the PRISA Board, Immediate-Past President Bradly Howland acknowledged Reynell’s contribution, noting: “Paul joined PRISA at a time when the organisation was working hard to find its footing again, and he threw himself into that rebuilding effort with real energy and commitment. He was part of growing and elevating the Awards into the flagship programme they have become – one that is now genuinely respected in the industry.”

Reynell said the decision to step down followed a period of reflection on where he can make the most meaningful impact in the profession. “People don’t follow leaders because they stay in roles. They follow leaders because they move forward. Africa’s communication profession is entering a defining decade. My focus now is on strengthening the continent’s voice, boosting Africa’s reputation globally, and building pathways that bring more international briefs and investment into African markets.”

A Continental and Global Mandate Reynell is expanding his professional focus to a broader continental role, working with international partners to elevate Africa’s strategic presence in global communication and reputation management. His vision is to ensure African markets are better connected, better represented and better understood on the world stage.

He has also proposed bringing his UN2030 Sustainable Africa Narrative Campaign into this global platform, an initiative designed to prepare African markets to own their voice, shape their narrative, and position the continent confidently ahead of the 2030 sustainability deadline. The proposal is currently under consideration.

“Africa plays an increasingly important role on the global stage not only in communication, but in economic growth and innovation. It is a positive and timely development to see seasoned experts putting the continent first, uniting leading agencies, professionals and stakeholders to share knowledge, tools and data. Such collaboration strengthens Africa’s gateway to investment and amplifies its voice in global dialogue.” Prof. Justin Green, President & CEO, Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management Paddington Station PR: Strengthening Africa’s Global Presence Paddington Station PR continues to expand its continental footprint, currently managing integrated communication and reputation programmes for global brands headquartered in the United States, Europe and Dubai, across no fewer than eight African markets.

The agency’s work spans renewable energy, logistics, FMCG and other high-growth sectors, supported by a senior team and a deliberately compact operating model that prioritises precision, depth and accountability. Under Reynell’s leadership, the agency has made significant advancements in data, research and AI-driven communication technologies, strengthening its ability to deliver intelligence-led, multi-market campaigns at scale. These capabilities are increasingly important as Africa’s markets accelerate, diversify and attract global attention.

“Africa is ready for a stronger seat at the global table. My focus now is on building the bridges, partnerships and platforms that make that possible,” concludes Reynell.

CLICK HERE to submit your press release to MyPR.co.za.

Author: Boitumelo Mafiri from Paddington Station PR on behalf of Paddington Station PR.

Track Your Press Release HERE:

Check Online Visibility

Verify where this release is currently indexed:

Pages: Page 1 Page 2

CLICK HERE to Read the Original Press Release on MyPR

Paul Reynell Steps Down from PRISA Leadership to Focus on Strengthening Africa’s Global Voice Cape Town – Paul Reynell, Founder of Paddington Station PR, has formally stepped down from his roles within the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA), effective 03 June 2026.
