CAPE TOWN, South Africa \u2013 Hitfire Digital today announced its launch as an independent consultancy helping businesses earn visibility in traditional search results and in AI-generated answers. Ahrefs data from December 2025 links the presence of a Google AI Overview to a 58% lower average desktop click-through rate for the top-ranking result, which is why visibility now has to be measured beyond clicks. Founded and led by Sadie de Pinto, an SEO and AI automation specialist with more than 20 years of experience, Hitfire Digital combines technical SEO, GEO \/ AEO, analytics and workflow automation to reduce manual work and increase qualified leads.<\/p>\n

Buyers increasingly get answers before they reach a website. In a December 2025 study of 300,000 keywords, Ahrefs found that the presence of an AI Overview correlated with a 58% lower average desktop click-through rate for the top-ranking result, compared with a forecast of what that rate would have been without one. Ahrefs describes this as a correlation, not a proven cause. Assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity add more places where a business can be named, or left out,
without a click. For a business, that means rankings alone no longer show who is being seen. Hitfire Digital works on both layers together: the technical and informational foundations that earn traditional rankings, and the passages, entities and mentions that make a business easier for AI systems to retrieve, cite and describe correctly.<\/p>\n
