Lesley van Duffelen, an independent PR consultant and freelance writer based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa – is an experienced news hound with 18 years in the newsroom and 11 years in public relations. What makes a good story?

While a brand must tell its story and meet its objectives we prefer to do this by creating real content that starts with the audience in mind.

Like all good journalists, we keep asking the question: So What? This is a journalism approach to creating content for your message. There is little benefit or satisfaction in creating PR copy that is unlikely to see the light of day.
