Woman 4 Change is a movement founded by Dr Miskyah Toth, clarifying our identity and commitment, rooted in empowerment, resilience, and transformation. Recently, confusion has arisen due to the emergence of a separate GBV-focused initiative called Women for Change. BDCS, Miskyah.com, and Dr Miskyah Toth wish to clarify that Woman 4 Change has no affiliation with the GBV movement Women for Change. While we fully oppose gender-based violence, our movement stands independently with its own legacy, values, and mission. Going forward, all Woman 4 Change efforts will be unified under the Iron in Silk banner.
Clarifying Our Identity – A Legacy of Empowerment and Integrity
Since its inception in the late 1990s, Woman 4 Change has championed the voices of women across South Africa and beyond. Through entrepreneurship, education, and advocacy, the movement has spotlighted courageous women who drive progress in their communities. Dr Miskyah’s vision has always been to amplify women’s stories, celebrate their achievements, and build platforms for sustainable impact. Woman 4 Change is not a campaign, it is a call to action, a rallying cry for transformation, and a celebration of female leadership. This legacy will now continue under the Iron in Silk banner.
Clarifying Our Identity – Transitioning to the Iron in Silk Banner
Since the late 1990s, Woman 4 Change championed women’s voices, promoted entrepreneurship, and celebrated resilience across South Africa. Dr Miskyah amplified stories, built platforms, and inspired women to lead with courage, determination, compassion, and unwavering integrity. The movement continues to empower women, encourage mentorship, and strengthen communities through authentic leadership and sustainable impact.
Core Values of Woman 4 Change
Woman 4 Change does not affiliate with the GBV-focused Women for Change initiative, despite shared concern for women’s wellbeing. BDCS and Miskyah.com stand firmly against gender-based violence and support initiatives that eradicate abuse and empower survivors. Dr Miskyah decided to unify Woman 4 Change under Iron in Silk, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and stronger brand identity.
Conclusion
Woman 4 Change transitions into Iron in Silk with renewed purpose, clarity, and commitment to empowering South African women. BDCS, Miskyah.com, and Dr Miskyah Toth oppose gender-based violence while advancing empowerment through mentorship, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
We encourage partners, media, and communities to honor this distinction and celebrate the unique contributions of both initiatives.
