The Democratic Alliance (DA) will on Friday, 24 October 2025, meet with the national office of the Public Protector to address our formal complaint against the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA).
This comes after evidence of a R3.5 billion scandal has been reinforced by a series of DA oversight inspections at PRASA locations, where public tax-payer money has been abused and misspent.
The DA’s Deputy Spokesperson on Transport, Thami Mabhena MP, will brief the media ahead of the meeting.
Details of the event:
Date: Friday, 24 October 2025
Time: 10:45
Place: Public Protector’s Offices, 175 Lunnon Street, Hillcrest Office Park, Pretoria
Members of the media are invited to attend.
