On Friday, 31 October 2025, DA Eastern Cape Provincial Chairperson Yusuf Cassim MPL, and Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation Sello Seitlholo MP, will lead an oversight inspection of the KwaNomzamo Wastewater Treatment Works in the DA-led Kouga Municipality, following its recent more than R40 million upgrade.
They will be joined by Kouga Deputy Mayor, Cllr Timothy Jantjes, Kouga MMC for Civil and Water Services, Cllr Reinhardt Foley and Kouga Speaker, Cllr Lorraine Maree.
Upgraded at a cost of R43 million, the plant now has a treatment capacity of 4 million litres per day and serves multiple surrounding communities.
Members of the media are invited to attend. There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
