On my WhatsApp group a resident dropped this comment; “Pity we have to other people’s loud music on a Sunday.” The message was referring to a loud music event taking place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium yesterday.
Now in South Africa we are all highly tuned to the possibility of racist or exclusionary speech and, as admin of the group I turned to ask Google Gemini the question whether this comment was; “Racist or not?”
