Absolute Ablutions has completed a custom-designed event ablution trailer for a large events company in Cape Town, demonstrating how a single trailer can accommodate different access and family-use requirements.
The customer’s brief went beyond a conventional single-cubicle wheelchair-accessible unit. The company requested an additional standard-access cubicle and wanted the accessible space to double as a mothers-and-babies room.
Absolute Ablutions designed the trailer from scratch. The wheelchair-friendly cubicle includes a baby changing station, while a detachable ramp can be exchanged for steps to support an alternative regular two-door VIP configuration.
This flexible design addresses a practical challenge for event organisers: requirements can vary between events, including whether wheelchair access is requested. The trailer was completed in time for one of the client’s major events.
