About East Rand Mall
East Rand Mall is a 69 000 m², regional shopping mall situated a mere 7 km from South Africa’s busiest airport, OR Tambo International Airport. Positioned just off the R 21 on Bentel Avenue, the Mall forms part of the gateway to the
greater Boksburg area.

Since opening its door to the public in 1992, the Mall has cemented its retail offering not only to Boksburg, but also attract shoppers from Benoni, Brakpan, Germiston and Kempton Park. The Mall’s well-planned tenant mix includes all of South Africa’s major national stores and hosts smaller specialised stores, making East Rand Mall a fashion must stop in the greater East Rand.

The Mall offers a range of entertainment facilities which include a colourful movie experience for the little ones with a kids cinema section and a 7 Cinema Centre, Galaxy Bingo, restaurants and coffee shops. There are more than 170 stores to choose from, with ample parking available consisting of 1 500 undercover and 3 000 open bays, while disabled parking bays are conveniently situated at each entrance.

Being one of the retail pillars in the East Rand, the Mall is always looking at ways to improve the overall shopping experience available to shoppers. In 2015 the owners of East Rand Mall, Redefine Properties and Vukile Property Fund embarked on a major revamp of the Mall. The redevelopment of the Mall allowed for an additional entrance to be added, growing the overall size of the Mall and finally mixing the old (state of the art design in the early 19’s) with a more modern overall look and feel.
