New Media Publishing, organisers of the prestigious Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards, announced the date and venue for this year’s awards. The event, which acknowledges and acclaims chefs, restaurants and the culinary industry, will take place on Sunday 10 November 2013 at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
According to an Eat Out survey conducted earlier this year, a massive 75% of respondents have eaten at a Top 10 restaurant in the last year. In response to demand and to accommodate the ever-growing popularity of these esteemed awards, Eat Out have made more public tickets available for this year’s event.
The ‘bigger and better’ changes to the 2013 Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards don’t end there. Abigail Donnelly, editor of Eat Out and chief judge, said: “More exciting changes to the awards extend to the all-important judging process, with the inclusion of a panel of four, highly esteemed, South African-based judges. These judges will remain anonymous throughout the judging process and will only be revealed on the night of the awards.”
The Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards recognise restaurants and chefs in the following categories:
• Restaurant of the Year

• Boschendal Style Award
