South Africa’s oldest wine event, the Mercury Wine Week, which takes place this year from 29 to 31 August, is returning to the Greyville Convention Centre at Greyville Racecourse with a tipple for just about every taste.
As a highlight on Durban’s social calendar, the Mercury Wine Week offers wine-lovers a sampling smorgasbord of over 70 of the country’s leading winemakers from the Cape winelands’ finest red, white, rosé and sparkling wine estates.
Wine-enthusiasts will get the opportunity to meet and mingle with top wine-makers and sommeliers as they outline the secrets to enhancing classic dishes with wine cultivars, taking place daily in the dedicated wine pairing theatre.
In celebration of all things local, this year a selection of botanical gin combinations, top whiskeys and a distinctive Bubbly area will feature to showcase the large and growing number of SA’s Méthode Cap Classique estates and their wide variety of sparkling wines.
As if that wasn’t enough, visitors can look forward to memory-making fun with an interactive photobooth filled with humorous props, and mouth-watering Foodie Market.
Be sure to be a part of Durban’s premier winter wine event by booking your tickets online from iTickets at just R160, which includes a tasting glass and unlimited wine tasting.
