Independent BBBEE Practitioner, Sibusiso Nkosi, has launched a web application called BBBEE LearnOnline. The web application contains various modules that present different topics relating to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment.
Unlike traditional BEE Consulting methods which are based on a one on one session, BBBEE LearnOnline prescribes topics that take place during these kinds of sessions, but ensures that they take place at the convenience of the client over the internet.
One of the major obstacles for business to effectively implement strong BBBEE strategies is the convenience in accessing comprehensive information relating to BBBEE in a cost effective manner. This creates a huge challenge for the business community. Travelling to meetings during office hours or having meetings scheduled can be rather inconvenient as it takes up too much time.
The cost factor also need to mentioned, meaning that one on one consultations with BEE consultants usually have a high rate and cost attached to them which creates a challenge for businesses to comply with BBBEE. These are obstacles that BBBEE LearnOnline aims to challenge. Unlike other BBBEE online resources, this web application provides broader topics relating to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment which are structured in a consultative manner.
It also presents itself as a business opportunity in the sense that it allows for other entities to become resellers of the application by providing it as a service to their clients.
