The #LindenWinterWarmer affords diners an opportunity to experience four unique cuisines while supporting four local chef owned restaurants. I think it is important that Johannesburgers support the local restaurant economy. Edward Chamberlain-Bell | Lifestyle Blogger & Publicist
A la Bouffe is a family run restaurant providing French Cuisine to Johannesburg, prepared by multi-award winning French Chef Patron, Romuald Denesle, using locally supplied produce. Chef Romuald Denesle has worked under Marc Chalopin at Charlot Roi des Coquillages and at Louis Grondard’s two-star Michelin Restaurant, Drouant before moving to the UK where he worked as Sous Chef at the Michelin starred restaurant Fleur de Sel, Dalhousie Castle and Senior Sous Chef at Ardeonaig Hotel on Loch Tay. He brings his French flair and experience to Johannesburg for all patrons to enjoy.
El Jalapeño is a Mexican restaurant bringing the flavours of Mexico and Latin America to Johannesburg. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, El Jalapeño caters for every palate with traditional tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and poppers – and even the less familiar arepitas, flautas, and empanadas. The restaurant is cosy and colourful, service is fast and friendly, and definately the place to relax with a Margarita or two.
Hashi Fusion Sushi brings a fusion of Japanese, Venezuelian and Caribbean flavours to Johannesburg. Their concept is to create a new and exciting experience in terms of food and creating a fresh concept around traditional Japanese cuisine. Their menu blends ancient Japanese techniques with the exotic ingredients and flavours which characterise South American cuisine, a combination that results in an amazing new culinary experience. Expect a dining experience that cannot be found elsewhere in South Africa.
Chef Sean Ackermann at Ritual reaps rave reviews from diners. All dishes are made to order using whatever ingredients are readily available on the day. His passion for creating dishes that are equally delicious and wholesome is reflected in dishes as diverse as mushroom burgers served with goat’s cheese and redcurrant jelly to his coconut panna cotta served with a lime and chilli syrup. Ritual is a hidden gem in Linden, but informed foodies make dining at Ritual a regular ritual.
