Reflecting on our first year of business

What an amazing year this has been! To think that we started this awesome franchise on the 11th May 2015 and after 1 year of business we have reached 200 students aged 4 to 65, from beginner to advanced players and from all corners of Cape Town, even Dubai and USA.

Looking back at this past year, the highlights have been our first Season Show, Pink Floyd The Wall at Barnyard Theatre, our Rock 101 kids performing at the Walled City at Ratanga Junction, sharing the stage at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre, our British Invasion Season Show at the Barnyard Theatre, our Adult Performance students hosting their first show at the Harley Davidson Club of Cape Town and our third Season Show, Reggae Funk, which we held at the Zip Zap Circus.  We have also surrounded ourselves with some of the most amazingly talented and vastly skilled music instructors who have passionately and successfully mentored our students.

They say love what you do and do what you love and for both myself and Keith Taeuber, this business franchise ticks that box.  Our love for personal service and personal growth has been met time and time again as we see the myriad of students that have walked through our doors grow in confidence and make amazing connections with people they would not normally have connected with.  Along with this comes the life long skill that each and every student walks away with, knowing that they have the courage to be who they want to be and that there is a place that they too can grow as an individual.

We fell in love with the global School of Rock brand and are extremely proud to be the first franchise owners of this remarkable franchise in South Africa.

What do we have in store for you this next year?….More performances, touring opportunities, mentorship programmes, our School of Rock Recording Studio which will be launching on our 1 year birthday and an exciting new location opening up in the northern suburbs in 2017.

Make music part of your life and remember – “If you can dream it, you can do it”.

This is our family…come join us!

We will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 14^th May from 10am – 2pm to celebrate our 1 year Birthday.  If you don’t know what we do, please feel free to bring your family and friends and experience what School of Rock is all about.
