(MyPR.co.za) September 18, 2017 By //  by Guest PR Filed Under: Entertainment Edit This Article

The One World Festival of Healing features Karen Zoid, PJ Powers, Jack Parow and Judith Sephuma

The Afrikaans Taal Monument, will be bathed in different colours on the weekend of 23 and 24 September as part of the One World Festival of Healing.

The colours will reflect the diverse contributions to the Afrikaans language. The monument itself reflects, all such contributions and the initiative will seek to broaden an understanding of such diversity.

Says, Clarence Ford, executive producer of the One World Festival of Healing. “Afrikaans has been the language of struggle for many. Dreams of freedom were formulated in Afrikaans. Afrikaans, rightfully finds focus at the 2nd Annual, One World Festival of Healing as we lay a broader claim to its relevance, ownership and efficacy.”

Share Your Joy and Joy is multiplied.” Music, Poetry, Kiddies and Adult rides, Food stalls, and wine tasting will be on offer in the Arboretum – Paarl, on the 23rd and 24th September. Apart from top acts like, Alistair Isobel, Judith Sephuma, Karen Zoid, Salome, Jack Parow and PJ Powers, another 15 acts will showcase diverse genres ranging from Pop, Jazz, dance, Reggae and folk.

A strong line-up of poets and wordsmiths have been assembled including Michael Weeder, the Dean of St Georges Cathedral, acclaimed wordsmith Diana Ferrus, Poet and Songstress, Black Pearl and MC Hakkiesdraad. They will deliver 15 minute segments on the Kilimanjaro Stage, set up amongst the trees of the Arboretum.
