Weylandts launches exclusive Timothy Oulton Collection in South Africa

Weylandts are proud to have launched the first Timothy Oulton Gallery in Africa, exclusive to their Fourways Johannesburg store, on 29 June 2017.

The dedicated 85 sqm gallery is exclusively branded and furnished with Timothy Oulton pieces. The British furniture company is renowned for its luxury & dramatic collections including handcrafted leather furniture, unique lighting pieces and bold home accessorises – an excellent fit for the Weylandts brand. This is the first store-within-a-store concept Weylandts has introduced.

Chris Weylandt holds Timothy Oulton and his design values in high regard. “This is an exciting addition to the Weylandts offering. I have been a fan of the Timothy Oulton range for many years, and am delighted to enhance their presence within our stores with a dedicated showroom in Fourways. As well as having access to the full range via the Weylandts store, the collection you can expect to see in the gallery includes elegant chairs, such as the Mimi Quilt dining chair which reinvents a classic 1940s French piece, richly clad in quilted hand-softened leather for a modern, textured look. Dining room tables, such as the Glacier Dining Table, with its ice cold smooth appearance that contrasts with its charred remains of rugged timber, bringing together elements of fire and ice. Beautiful vintage-inspired Lighting designs in aged metal, crystal and glass, and spectacular Mirrors, made from reclaimed wood, leather, metal and glass.

The opening of the Johannesburg gallery marks the next step in Timothy Oulton’s careful expansion. From New York to New Delhi and in the grandeur of Harrods in London, Timothy Oulton now has 40 galleries across the globe in some of the world’s best cities.
