Beauty with purpose – journey to the Mrs Commonwealth SA crown 2014.

The former Mrs Gauteng , Nerine Nedeljkovic (28), has been selected as a top 12 finalist for Mrs CommonWealth SA 2014. The Grand Finale takes place at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on 29 August 2014.

The happily married, mother of two, is a freelance media,events and marketing specialist. She explains what the created platform means to her, “I have a sincere love for people, I am real and reachable, not a celebrity-of-sort but a supporter-by-side.”
She has various other titles to her name, most recently being Mrs Gauteng (2012/13) and now she is onto creating a bigger platform with taking on the challenge of competing in the Commonwealth SA pageant.

She explains about her approach to charity and inspiring change,”Keep things simple and remember that a little can go a long way, as simple as a nod of acknowledgement, a friendly gesture, an attitude of gratitude, it costs nothing but lays the foundation.”

The Pageant empowers women with the knowledge to bring about change to communities in need. The winner will represent South Africa at the International pageant in London in November 2014.

The pageant judges include Marilyn Ramos, Miss South Africa 2012, Isidingo actor Stephen van Niekerk, TV presenter Nadia Beukes, dancer and seasoned pageant judge Adéle Loots and current President for the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa, Solly Moeng.
“It is our duty as a community to promote our women as worldwide leaders who are committed to serve the needs of our communities” says Commonwealth Pageants South Africa. In saying that, this years pageant will support Pink Drive, an initiative to create awareness and fight breast cancer.
