29 September, 2016: The South African National Roads Agency Soc Ltd (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that blasting is scheduled to take place on the N9 between Middelburg and Carlton Heights on Friday, 7 October 2016 at 3pm.

The blast will take place on the N9 at the Welvanpas Cutting (approximately 16.5 kilometres from Middelburg) on the Carlton Heights side.

The road will be closed for approximately 15 minutes during the blast.

“Motorists are asked to plan their trips accordingly and to use caution when making use of the road,” said Mbulelo Peterson, regional manager for SANRAL Southern Region.

SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused.
