Bumbavibes, in partnership with Africa Unite, will work together in combating hunger in South Africa.
The goal is to provide food, clothes, toys and entertainment to the children in Gugulethu.
Their ultimate goal is to feed as many kids and expand to various areas in need.
The Children’s program called “Singamakhalipha” will run from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Gugulethu sports complex.
Singamakhalipha is a Xhosa word meaning “brave warriors”. The programme provides holistic psychosocial support services in an after-school care environment, to child-headed households, orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs) affected by sexual and gender-based violence, HIV/AIDS and community violence.
There will be various entertainment to keep kids off the street, entertained and fed.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 27.
