Fashion and entertainment are the pillars of Gateway’s Brand. To reinforce this brand position as the largest and most fashion forward shopping complex in the Southern Hemisphere, the centre has aligned itself with the Vodacom Durban July for four consecutive years. Now in its fifth year, Gateway’s Vodacom Durban July Preview Fashion Show is set to wow the audience with yet another breathtaking lineup.
The prestigious Vodacom Durban July is referred to as ‘Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event’. This annual winter spectacle attracts top horses, trainers and jockeys in a battle for R3 million in prize money. The other facet of this event is the enormous hype it creates with its vibrant fashion.
Top designers such as Terrence Bray, Gideon, Andre Martin, Kathrin Kidger and Colleen Eitzeen, to name a few, will interpret this year’s theme – ‘Posh? Oh My Gosh!’ through classy, glamorous and jaw-dropping garments. Be sure to get your front row seat to this fashion extravaganza.
If you’re a 5FM fan, make sure you’re at the Wave House on the 5th of July from 3pm to 7pm. The Fresh Drive will broadcast from 3pm with the Ultimix at 6 being performed live on stage.
The preview fashion show will take place after the Fresh Drive at approximately 7:15pm. Directly after the fashion show prepare to be wowed with a FREE concert which will feature well known home grown acts such as Pascal and Pearce, Fresh, Euphonik and award winning Toya Delazy.
For the first time, Gateway’s Wave House will host the official Vodacom Durban July after party in association with 5FM and Gold Circle. The after party will start at 6pm and end at 2am. The concert lineup includes top 5FM DJ’s as well as popular local acts.
