As a BEE organization, Dotcom Holdings takes pride in supporting non- profit initiates that promote a worthy course to improve at-least one person’s life. In its quest to fulfill this voluntary obligation the company decided to take on one of the most popular initiatives established in 2006 by East Coast Radio and Gift of the Givers, known as Toy Story.
According to Gift of the Givers, Last year, 43 000 new toys and R1.4 million in cash was donated in total. One-hundred percent of the contributions went towards assisting ill and underprivileged children across KwaZulu Natal.
According to a citation on the East coast Radio website, The Toy Story initiative sponsored by Game began with an objective to give a new toy to every child in government hospitals, state orphanages, crèches, and children’s homes that rely on government funding.
“For many of these little ones, these are the first new toys they will own.” Additionally, funds generated from the campaign will go towards purchasing food parcels for child-headed households in KwaZulu-Natal, to help see the children get through the festive season until the reopening of school.
There’s nothing more precious than that little smile that creeps across a child’s face and fills our heart with warmth and joy. Nothing can compare to the out-pour of excitement and gratification one feels when their little fingers touches a brand new toy for the first time.
It is never too late for your organisation to join in on the bid to bring hope to a child’s life. Our company acquired a box for the initiative by simply contacting administration at toystory@ecr.co.za
“Make hope a reality by donating today.”
