The grassy plains of Songimvelo Nature Reserve are home to herds Buffalo, Blesbok, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Red Hartebeest and Zebra whilst within the wooded and hillside areas one will find Giraffe, Kudu, Mountain reedbuck and Elephant. There are also numbers of White Rhino on the Reserve.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Bloubank  Conservancy – Hoedspruit camp

Located inside the Bloubank Conservancy on the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains and about an hour’s drive from the Kruger National Park boundary. Brakrivier Conservancy – Mopane camp

The conservancy is in excess of 18 000 acres in the majestic Limpopo Province close to the little station town of Mopane. The Brakrivier Conservancy is known for Mopane bushveld, lots of huge Baobab trees and a few rocky outcrops and with the Brak river that runs right through the property, it all adds to excellent hunting and to the uniqueness of this area.

The Reserve is based on the conservancy principle, a joint venture between Balepye community and private business owners which are designated land for the preservation of natural resources, including game species
