EDITOR’S NOTES:
What if there aren’t winners for all the categories in each of the nine provinces?
Because of the strict criteria, not all the categories will have winners that receive enough reader reviews and high enough ratings to warrant the top prize. Individual restaurants need to have received a minimum of five reviews in the awards period to qualify to win. A prize will not be awarded if the highest-rated restaurant in that category has an overall rating lower than four stars. Individual restaurants need to have been reviewed by a critic in order to win.
