Multinational water innovation company Crystal Lagoons’ concept and technology – that is changing the paradigm of “location, location, location” – is having a dramatic effect on the property industry worldwide.
Why?
Crystal Lagoons makes it possible to create crystal clear lagoons of limitless size anywhere in the world at very low construction and maintenance costs. With the ability to transform any real estate project into a beachfront paradise, these lagoons bring the lifestyle of the beach to even the most obscure destinations (the middle of deserts and populated city centres).
Present on five continents with 400 projects in different stages of development in 60 countries, property developers worldwide are turning to this, the “world’s top amenity”.
A Crystal Lagoon creates unprecedented demand
The announcement of a residential property development through a billboard in Florida has already resulted in a waiting list of over 2,000 interested home buyers. The two signs were all the advertisement they did. Photos of other Crystal Lagoons’ projects and key messages such as “Epic Splash” and “Water This Way” raised peoples’ interest and led to sales.
Something for the whole family
Sales were low at the Diamante Cabo San Lucas Resort in Mexico, which was originally built with golf courses designed by Davis Love III and Tiger Woods. But demand rocketed when a Crystal Lagoon of 4-hectares was built, offering beachfront homes.
With swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing available in a safe and fun environment, this amenity that the whole family can enjoy is becoming increasingly attractive for investors.
Higher sales prices
Crystal Lagoons has made real estate history in Dubai at the Mohammed Bin Rashid City District One project in Dubai, with prices never seen before for luxury villas that have direct access to idyllic beaches.
Crystal Lagoons can be built anywhere
In Sharm El Sheikh, the resort town in Egypt located in the middle of the desert, resorts were in reach of the Red Sea but lacked their own facilities. To utilise otherwise unusable brackish water from underground aquifers was just a dream until Crystal Lagoons was introduced. The Citystars Sharm el Sheikh resort is built on a plot of land which was unsuitable for development and lacked commercial value, but with a 12,5-hectare Crystal Lagoon, it quickly turned into a beautiful oasis.
A top amenity leads to increased density of projects, and improved profits.
The San Alfonso del Mar resort in Chile was designed for 400 residential units. After the construction of a 12-hectare Crystal Lagoon, the project had to rapidly expand the master plan to accommodate 1400 further units, and sales prices doubled.
Even water and energy scarce countries can benefit from a Crystal Lagoon
A Crystal Lagoon consumes half the fresh water of a green park of the same size, and a typical lagoon uses up to 30 times less water than a golf course. They can be filled with fresh, brackish, or even salt water, minimising the need to use potable water in amenities. They are energy-saving too; a Crystal Lagoon uses just 2% of the energy required by conventional swimming pool technologies, and use 100 times less chemicals.
Built and maintained at very low costs
The decrease in need of water, energy, and chemicals make for low maintenance costs when compared with other recreational amenities.
High tech creates clean, clear water
The water being used for Crystal Lagoons’ projects is of the highest purity. The water in these lagoons complies with the highest international sanitary standards, and has been certified by international studies. Crystal Lagoons technology is patented in 160 countries, with a state-of-the-art cloud-based technological platform remotely monitoring and operating the hydraulic, biochemical and mechanical systems of the lagoons. This system guarantees optimal quality.
Coming soon to South Africa
Crystal Lagoons now has an office in Cape Town and is in discussions with a number of developers countrywide. We look forward to crystal clear lagoons creating a beach lifestyle in unexpected locations.
