Introduced earlier this year in South Africa, Veolia Water Technologies’ cloud-based monitoring and optimisation services for water treatment plants, AQUAVISTA™, received distinction in the Digital Water Company of the Year category at the 2019 Global Water Awards in London.
Held as part of the annual Global Water Summit, the coveted awards ceremony recognises the industry’s greatest achievements over the previous year, rewarding the initiatives and companies in the water, wastewater and desalination sectors that are moving the industry forward through improved operating performance, innovative technology adoption and sustainable financial models.
Described as a ‘game-changer’ for the water treatment industry, AQUAVISTA™ maximises the value of client data, helping customers get more from their assets. The platform was recognised as setting new standards for data handling and cyber security of water treatment plants, and for delivering remarkable efficiency gains via intelligent algorithms and process expertise-driven service.
“AQUAVISTA™ can be easily integrated into new or existing water and wastewater treatment plants, and is scalable to each application,” Veolia Water Technologies South Africa’s Chris Braybrooke explains.
Four different customisable offerings – Plant, Insight, Portal and Assist – allow users to improve their asset management, guarantee compliance, identify areas of optimisation and gain real time access to Veolia support engineers, via a single, convenient and secure online platform. Since it was first introduced to the international market in 2018, customers in over 20 countries across the world have adopted these services to improve their plant performance.
By integrating and transforming plant data into powerful intelligence and process insight, AQUAVISTA™ takes data-driven operations management of water treatment plants to a new level.
