The Direct Marketing Association of SA (DMASA) says entries kick off tomorrow, 15 April 2021, for the country’s premier integrated marketing awards.
The Assegai Awards annually showcase the direct marketing industry leaders who have delivered exceptional work over the previous year. The DMASA has been hosting the Assegais annually for the past 23 years and says entering the awards is straightforward.
To enter the DMASA Assegai Integrated Marketing Awards, marketers simply select the Award Categories they would like to enter and then prepare submissions of less than 300 words. More information can be found at www.assegaiawards.co.za
“Since 1998, these awards have been raising the bar in our industry and they’ve done this by focusing primarily on Return On Investment (ROI). To earn Assegai gold, one needs to understand how to deliver the highest ROI in a way that pleases both the consumer and the brand,” says DMASA CEO, David Dickens.
“The Assegais ask for more than mere creativity – our clients demand returns and our members must figure out how to reach for the stars while being rooted in the rands and cents of the bottom line,” he adds.
There are Leader, Bronze, Silver and Gold awards to be won across dozens of categories spanning search, email, experiential and mobile marketing, amongst many others. Judges looked specifically for the most effective use of content, database analytics, interface and navigation design, banners, microsites, and every other direct and integrated marketing tool.
The first step, however, to celebrating and rewarding the best local direct and integrated marketing talent in November is for the industry to register now for the Assegais.
The DMASA is the continent’s leading non-profit dedicated to the sustainable development of the direct and integrated marketing industry. It is recognised by the National Consumer Commission which enables it to manage consumer complaints within the direct marketing space on behalf of over 300 members. Since its 2005 founding, DMASA members have also benefitted from lobbying activities which have helped influence policy around integrated and direct marketing. To help ensure continued responsible access to consumers, the DMASA enforces its Code of Principled Marketing according to which all members must adhere, while also promoting data protection compliance and professional development through the DMASA e-Learning Academy.
