This week the TrepEdu brand launched the first of its products, the Start Up to Stars book. This book is the first of a series of books that will profile start up businesses in South Africa with the aim of inspiring other entrepreneurs. The book tells a story of eight South African start ups and captures some strategic moves they had to make in order to overcome the challenging survival phase. The stories are told through the voice of author, Sibusiso Nkosi, in a heartfelt manner and capture’s the uneasy road these start ups had to travel. This book features the story of Wandile, a young lady who experienced rape twice and turned her experiences into a business that motivates others to believe in themselves. It also features the story of Tracy Ray Gore, an upcoming Cape Town designer who started her business with only five rands. The story of Sabelo who looked beyond his poor background after struggling to find a sustainable job and started a cleaning services company is also featured in the book. You can also read the stories of the owners of Summertime, Your Name Here Productions, ShiftApps, LIA Network and Lisanele investments. Their inspirational stories look at the risks they took to build these brands. The book is developed in a CliqueBuk format, a concept by a digital content development and dissemination corporation called Ukondla under its Deegypro products. It is the first CliqueBuk produced by the company since it developed the concept in March 2013. The CliqueBuk format can be read on any computer with a web browser since the viewing of such books takes place on the web browser, however internet connection is not required to read the book. This format provides pleasurable viewing and quick navigation of the book. Entrepreneurs Can Now Learn Online
On the 12th of March 2013, Ukondla officially launched Creel. Creel is a portal of eLearning modules directed towards entrepreneurship development. These modules cover different topics. ''Creel will start a revolution for how entrepreneurs are educated in South Africa'' said Sibusiso Nkosi, founder of Ukondla. ''Creel has been on the cards since last year October (2012) and I would like to announce that the first online module on Creel is now open for registration''. The first module on Creel, titled Successful Business Planning, is presented by InnovateBiz. ''Karen Venter, owner of InnovateBiz, put together this wonderful module that will really equip entrepreneurs to write their own business plans'' said Sibusiso Nkosi. ''It has four sections and can be studied over four days from anyhwhere since it is online''. Sibusiso also explained that this is the most convenient platform for entrepreneurs to learn. TrepEdu Events kick off in March 2013
The first of a series of TrepEdu events kicks off on the 15th of March 2013 in Johannesburg. The TrepEdu Own Your Success Seminar is going to be the first of the series of these events. This event will provide a great atmosphere for entrepreneurs to learn from each other and network. It will take place at the Faculty Training Institute just off the Rivonia Off-ramp, in Witkoppen Road.
