Hisense Mobile announce the release of a new 5G Smartphone
Johannesburg, Gauteng: Hisense Mobile announced the release of a new 5G Smartphone. The H50s 5G is the first device of the Infinity H series to offer 5G connectivity and provides a new way for users to streamline their mobile experience. Hisense Mobile has done it again with its latest Smartphone release, introducing the H50S 5G device built for speed, beyond imagination. The new flexible H50s 5G makes it all happen in any environment in tune with everybody's needs. You have probably heard that 5G is fast, but what makes the difference between 5G vs 4G speed? There is a limit to how much information networks can carry (depending on frequency band) previous mobile network generations, like 4G, can sometimes have difficulty handling many devices in the same location, which is why you get a lag when you are online. 5G basically adds more capacity, more ”space” to use, which means that there's more room for everyone and that their devices get higher data speeds. Essentially your 5G device was designed to provide a bigger dimension for internet streaming like social media, high quality video and other things we are already doing today. Every day we ask ourselves the same question. Is the technology we are building and investing in simpler, faster, better and more in-tuned to our human needs? The goal with the new H50s 5G Smartphone is to make sure it makes a difference to your whole life without costing you an arm, leg and a second mortgage. Due to the speed and processing power this model offers combined with the 5G capacity it can make the kind of difference that will change the way you work, play, and live for the better. But power without beauty is like wrapping a Ferrari engine into the body of a Beatle. The case of the H50s 5G is designed for the bold, the daring, and the fashionable user who isn't afraid to make a statement. Upon first glance you will notice a cosmic gradient sheen finish, which gives the device a race-car feel when you hold it. To support …

Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Hisense aims to raise R500k for mobile mammography units
Did you know that mammograms can usually detect lumps two to three years before you or your doctor can? And research has shown a 25% reduction in deaths from breast cancer among those who regularly get screened. In South Africa, women have a one in 29 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer, with early detection being crucial in saving lives. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hisense is raising funds for non-profit company PinkDrive, based in Randburg, which provides breast cancer education and early diagnostic support to South Africans. Hisense will be donating a portion of its profits from selected products sold in October to PinkDrive, and have also set up a BackaBuddy campaign to raise funds for the organisation. The goal is to raise R500 000, which will go towards the upkeep of two of PinkDrive’s mobile mammography units. These units provide screening and breast cancer awareness and information to women who might otherwise not have had access to them. “PinkDrive’s mantra is ‘Early detection saves lives’, and we know that early tests and awareness mean a greater chance of survival, which is why we’ve partnered with this incredible organization,” says Michéle Fourie, marketing manager of Hisense SA. “Through this initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the generosity of our community, we hope that our target will be met so that we can help PinkDrive in the fight for education and early awareness.” Any additional funds raised will go towards new oncology units at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, to replace those that were burnt down in the April fires this year. If you’d like to help power this campaign and potentially save lives through early detection, then head to the BackaBuddy page to donate. Every little bit helps PinkDrive do their incredible work in raising awareness and getting people screened. Corporate company steps in for a safer Kids Haven
Every child deserves to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. So when the Hisense team saw that Kids Haven in Benoni needed their damaged infrastructure repaired, they brought in their tools and paint, and transformed the building into a secure space, complete with colourful and uplifting murals. Kids Haven protects and cares for children in crisis by giving them shelter, education, training and therapy. They also rehabilitate those working on the streets and reintroduce them into society. “We have worked with Kids Haven in the past, and when we noticed that their building needed maintenance and repair, we didn’t hesitate to uplift them and give their children not only a safer space to live, but one that could help raise their spirits too,” said Michéle Fourie, marketing manager of Hisense South Africa. “We work to make people’s lives better through our innovative, high-quality and affordable technology, but we also strive to live to our new brand credo: ‘We see you, we get you, we got you’. Through initiatives and partnerships like these, we’re able to help the community, and look forward to even more opportunities to do so.” Hisense, together with Ajenja Ajenja (Pty) Ltd, spent more than two weeks and over R120 000 at Kids Haven plastering, painting, fixing leaks and plumbing pipes, and repairing other building wear and tear. Kenneth Mhlongo of Barcode Media painted a beautiful mural on one of the outbuilding walls with the hope of inspiring the kids to keep dreaming, and to never give up. The owner of Ajenja Ajenja (Pty) Ltd, Jaco Whitehorn, decided to take on a few additional repairs, leaving Kids Haven in a much better state. “Without Hisense, we would never have been able to do all the improvements at Kids Haven – it was just too much to finance and tackle the work ourselves,” said Susan Daly, fundraising coordinator at Kids Haven. “Our back courtyard has been completely transformed, and our kids are loving their new happy …
