This is through their campaign titled Together, we can do more, Siyabangena, an initiative aimed at encouraging Absa colleagues, customers and community members to be an active force for good and raise funds via the Strava community to donate towards community upliftment. For every 1km run/walked by a Team Absa member on Strava, the bank donates R1 to make a difference in the community. Absa announced its four-year partnership with the RUN YOUR CITY series of events in 2021, with the bold goal to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Then, last year, the series was extended from three to five cities – with the addition of Gqeberha and Tshwane as host cities. “We are excited to be in Tshwane as one of the two extended cities to host the race. Onthatile ‘Thati’ Zulu, a 23-year-old professional hockey player from Pretoria, takes her career to new heights with Red Bull.
